INTRODUCTION

Decware's unique horn design that doesn't sound or look like one.  It just has all the performance benefits without the colorations, forwardness, or ragged response.

Shown next to the original DNA, the DNA2 brings some muscle to the table with seriously fast bass response and incredible imaging.

HIGH EFFICIENCY

The DNA2 was designed for lower power tube gear, with a sensitivity of 94dB @ 1 watt/1meter.

In keeping with transparent SET amplification, we use an extremely flat and extended 8 inch driver made from wool  to reduce cone breakup resonances compared to plain paper. This gives it a beautifully smooth non-fatiguing midrange with stunning micro-detail.  The response of this driver is so good, there is no crossover on it.  It is being run full-range which pairs well with SET amplifiers and audiophiles who want to hear ultra deep into the recording without a filter.

BASS PERFORMANCE

The cone is paired with a butyl rubber surround for long life and good excursion, which brings us to the bass performance of this loudspeaker.  Being a folded horn the bass control is exceptional and the response is deep.  The excursion potential in a design that doesn't require it brings something new to the table, we call pressure centric bass performance for lack of a better term.  Simply it means the bass gets more and more serious as you turn the speaker up.
